The concept
Light and Matter is an experimental programme at the intersection of science, technology and art. Researchers, artists, engineers and students explore the behaviour of light as it interacts with glass, water, fibres, reflective surfaces and emerging materials. Their observations are developed into experiments, prototypes, installations and public demonstrations that make normally unseen phenomena visible.
