Open Lab Sessions
A proposed format of public evenings in which researchers and artists present work in progress — including what has not worked yet.
The concept
Most public presentations show finished results. Open Lab Sessions would show the middle of the process: the questions, the failed attempts, the instruments and the decisions.
Objectives
- Show research and artistic practice as processes, not only outcomes.
- Give students direct contact with working practitioners.
